Your check-in QR code

Once your deposit is paid, your booking has a QR code. It’s on your confirmation, and under Check-in in Your bookings. Tap Show full screen to make it bigger at the counter.

At the visit

When you arrive, or the professional arrives at your home, show them the code. They scan it with the GetGbam app. That checks you in, and your deposit goes to them. You pay the other half once it’s done.

Only show your code when you’re there. Scanning it is how the business is paid your deposit.

What’s in the code

A one-time check-in code, and nothing about you: no name, phone number or email. It only works at the business you booked, on the day of your booking, and only once. If your phone’s own camera scans it, you’ll see a GetGbam page that explains what it’s for. Nothing is checked in or paid by that.

If it won’t scan

1. Turn your screen brightness up.
2. Hold the phone still, with the whole code on screen.
3. If it still won’t scan, tell them your booking reference, like GG-481207. It’s under the code. They can type it in to check you in.
